J&B Trailers and Equipment, Inc. (Odessa) opened for business in May 1992 with the acquisition of the
Fruehauf-owned branch in Odessa, Texas by Jim Boyd. This purchase resulted in all of the existing employees
becoming part of the dealership, preventing any fall off in business and customers from being affected
by the change. J&B Trailers and Equipment, Inc. sits on a 10-acre tract, with combined buildings consisting
of more than 34,000 square feet to include the service and parts department along with a fabrication facility.
In 1993, J&B Trailers and Equipment, Inc. completed the acquisition of another Fruehauf-owned facility
located at 5619 Avenue A in Lubbock, Texas. The Lubbock facility is one of the largest full-line service, parts, sales, and
truck equipment installation centers in the southwest. It sits on a 20-acre tract incorporating a 36,000 square foot building w
ith 22 drive-thru bays in the service department and a comparable sized parts warehouse.
